Lesson 4: four notes per string

Now we arrive at the most radically way, and that is four notes per string. You have to use all your fingers, so also the little finger ;p
And there we have two basicruns, up and down, that you have to be able to play first.

Example 4.1:
Listen to the midi-file
Get the Guitarpro file

E||------------------------------------------5-6-7-8-8-7-6-5--------------------
B||----------------------------------5-6-7-8-----------------8-7-6-5------------
G||--------------------------5-6-7-8---------------------------------8-7-6-5----
D||------------------5-6-7-8-------------------------------------------------8-7 enz.
A||----------5-6-7-8------------------------------------------------------------
E||--5-6-7-8--------------------------------------------------------------------

The employment of this way is only a little more difficult.
You can cross the guitarneck chromatically, so that you create a superfast sound.
You can do this during a guitarsolo, that gives a cool sound.
It is just such fast, that you can't recognise that it is chromatically!
You can find that trick in the next solo from Metropolis..

Example 4.2:
Listen to the midi-file
Get the Guitarpro file

E||--12----------------14-13-12-11-------------------------|
B||-------12---11------------------15-14-13-12-------------|
G||----------------11--------------------------15-14-13-12-|
D||--------------------------------------------------------|
A||--------------------------------------------------------|
E||--------------------------------------------------------|

----------------------------------------|------------------------------|
----------------------------------------|------------------------------|
--11---9---8------9-11-9-8--------------|------------------------------|
--------------11-----------11-10-9-8----|-------------13--11----9h11h9-|
-------------------------------------11-|--9---7---6-------------------|
----------------------------------------|------------------------------|

---------------------||
---------------------||
------11-------------||
--8------------------||
---------------------||
---------------------||

It is also possible to play a scale with four notes per string.
You will have to use a very large spreading of your left hand, so first lengthing!
And intending is a demanding! ;)!

Example 4.3:
Listen to the midi-file
Get the Guitarpro file

C maj

E||-------------------------------------------------------------19-20-22-24-----
B||-------------------------------------------------17-18-20-22-----------------
G||-------------------------------------14-16-17-19-----------------------------
D||-------------------------12-14-15-17-----------------------------------------
A||-------------10-12-14-15-----------------------------------------------------
E||--8-10-12-13-----------------------------------------------------------------

It is not a necessity to play a continuous run with four notes per string,
as long as the runs contains four notes.
The next example shows that:

Example 4.4:
Listen to the midi-file
Get the Guitarpro file

E||--15-17-15-12-------------------------------------------------------------||
B||--------------15-17-15-12-------------------------------------------------||
G||--------------------------14-16-14-12-------------------------------------||
D||--------------------------------------14-17-14-12-------------------------||
A||--------------------------------------------------14-17-14-12-------------||
E||--------------------------------------------------------------15-17-15-12-||
